There’s just something about military romances that draw me in like a moth to a flame. And of all the military romances I’ve read, Rebecca Yarros’ Flight and Glory Series ranks high up there on my list as some of the most moving books I’ve read in this particular sub-genre. I’ve read both Full Measures and Eyes Turned Skyward but Beyond What is Given, which tells Sam and Grayson’s story, takes the cake! Synopsis: Lt. Grayson Masters is focused on graduating the Apache helicopter course, and the last thing he needs is his gorgeous new roommate Samantha Fitzgerald distracting him. While her smart mouth and free spirit are irresistibly irritating, he can’t deny their off-the-charts chemistry, no matter how hard he tries. |

*A big thanks to the author for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review* *Guia has entered the world of Yondareth* From the very beginning of Adam and Mia’s journey, this series has been a book after my own geeky heart. AT ANY MOMENT brings the story to a conclusion in ways that you would not have expected it. It’s definitely not how envisioned how the series would play out but it does not make the story any less addicting. Rating: 5 out of 5 Draco the dragon stars (see what I did there? *wink wink*) It’s Dangerous to Go Alone! *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review* Rachel van Dyken is a writing goddess. I mean it. I think she just outdid herself with ELICIT. Considering how amazing ELICIT was, there is no question that RvD keeps doing better and better with each release. Elicit, in my opinion, is waaaaay up there as one of the best she’s ever written. And now, I’m going to try to write this review without giving anything away, which is going to be difficult because many things will happen in ELICIT that will blow your mind. No kidding. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars! Synopsis: Cursed, numb, rejected, scorned, wicked, sinister, dark, twisted...my name is Tex Campisi and this is my legacy. I killed my father in cold blood and lost my soul right along with him. * ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review * ** Spoilers for Book 1 and 2 ahead** I love novellas. Want to know what I love MORE than novellas? A CRANBERRY INN novella, that’s what! Room for Just a Little Bit More (RFJALBM) is a very worthwhile addition to this addicting series from Beth Ehemann. If you’ve read the first two books (Room for You and Room for More) then you’ll definitely enjoy reading what happens next to Kacie, Brody, and the Twinkies. Rating: 5 out of 5 twinkie stars! Synopsis: Five years ago, my dreams were shattered in an instant. *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review* I can’t believe I haven’t heard about this series or Juliana Haygert before! Because seriously, this is one of the best books I’ve read this year and I’m just dying to read Breaking the Reins. It’s different, it’s sweet, it’s a bit angsty (but not too much)… a just right blend of what a good NA story should be. This is the first book of hers that I’ve read and I must say that I am thoroughly satisfied yet left wanting for more (in an I-need-another-Juliana-Haygert-book-right-now kind of way). Rating: 5 out of horsey 5 stars for Breaking Fences! All Beatriz “Bia” Fernandes wants is to prove herself—to her family and friends—though it’s hard to prove anything with an overbearing father and three famous polo-playing older brothers. After her acceptance into college results in a heated family argument, the Brazilian girl leaves everything behind to find her own American dream. *Thank you to Michelle Warren for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review* He+She has been a total whirlwind of a book. It doesn’t start by easing you into the story… it drops you smack dab into the middle of everything. From there it takes readers on one hell of a ride through the ups and downs of two people’s messed up lives to weave an intricately beautiful story of loss and being lost, of finding and finally being found. Rating: 4.5 out of 5 fortune cookie stars Synopsis: HE is trying to piece together his broken life. First of all, thank you to Cassandra Clare for bringing the world of Shadowhunters to life. The bookworm in me would not be the same without this series and she just continues to fuel my love for this world she created. My heart is full to bursting. I can’t even begin to explain how I’m feeling right now. Of course, reading the last book in a series you’ve followed and loved for a long while brings with it a certain degree of longing. I really have trouble believing that this is the end of the road for these amazing characters that I’ve grown to love so much. There’s still The Dark Artifices but it won’t be the same. I’m sure there’ll be a new set of characters we’ll learn to know and love but this gang? They will hold a special place in my bookworm heart. A bittersweet 5 out of 5 stars. Synopsis: ΕRCHOMAI, SEBASTIAN HAD SAID. |
