REVIEW POLICY

What can you expect from Between the Pages Book Blog?
I have been an avid fan of reading since I was a young girl and I enjoy reading books. I started BETWEEN THE PAGES Book Blog to share my passion for reading with other people. I enjoy learning about new books from my friends’ recommendations and I hope to be able to do the same for other bookworms out there.

I am, by no means, a professional reviewer. I do not charge fees to post reviews, features, promos, or to participate in tour stops. I'm just a girl who loves to read books and tries to post reviews as much as I can. 

As a blogger, I think it’s important to stay true and honest and that is why I always keep my reviews as HONEST as possible. I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews and I won’t ever bash a book or author harshly just because I’ve got negative opinions about the book. But if I don’t like a book, I tell it like it is.

I am not a writer by profession. My writing style is generally conversational and informal. I want to keep my blog as easy, fun, and light as I can so I try to translate that into my writing.

My book reviews include:
- Cover art
- Numbered rating
- Synopsis (from GoodReads, Amazon, the jacket flap, or provided by the author)
- My opinions about the book
- Purchase links

PREFERENCES
I read mostly NEW ADULT books. I prefer NA genres like:
- Contemporary
- Romance
- Mystery/Thriller
- Science Fiction
- Fantasy
- Paranormal
I am also open to OTHER book genres like:
- Young Adult
- Coming-of-age
- Disability
- Chick Lit
- Historical Fiction
- Humor
I WILL NOT review...
- Horror
- Non-fiction (memoirs, autobiographies, self-help...)
SERIES REVIEWS
I accept requests for series reviews but only if I get to read it in sequence. If you are requesting for a review for a book that is part of a series, I only ask that you also provide a copy of the preceding books.

I accept book submissions for review in the following formats:

COVER REVEALS/BOOK FEATURES
I am willing to host cover reveals or book features for your book. However, it would still depend on whether the book fits the theme and feel of the blog. I need at the very least:

Book Features 
  • the cover
  • synopsis
  • purchase links

If you're interested in including a little extra something for your cover reveal/book feature, I can also help you out with:

DISCLAIMERS
**I DON'T MAKE REVIEWS FOR ALL REQUESTS.** 
I usually ask for a synopsis of the book first before agreeing to read the book for a review. That way, I can try to see if it's something that I'd actually be interested in reading.
Requesting for a review or submitting a book for review does not necessarily mean that I'd be able to post one. Of course, I'll try my best to accommodate your book but it would depend on my schedule (I'm still a college student, after all *wink*) and whether it's something that would pique my interest. 

I usually prioritize book reviews that are part of blog tours and ARCs. I cannot guarantee a specific timeframe for when I'd be able to post the review. I try to make sure that ARC reviews go up within 2 weeks of its release. For general requests, it's more indefinite but you can rest assured that if I accept a book for review, I will be posting my review. You will be notified via e-mail when the post is up.
