Must Love Otters by Eliza Gordon

If you’re looking for a light, fun read that is sure to tickle your funny bones, then this is the book for you. MUST LOVE OTTERS is a wonderfully heartwarming tale about finding the most unexpected things in the most unexpected places.

I'm giving Eliza Gordon's MUST LOVE OTTERS 4.0 out of 5 OTTER stars! :))

Blurb:
Hollie Porter is the chairwoman of Generation Disillusioned: at twenty-five years old, she’s saddled with a job she hates, a boyfriend who’s all wrong for her, and a vexing inability to say no. She’s already near her breaking point, so when one caller too many kicks the bucket during Hollie’s 911 shift, she cashes in the Sweethearts’ Spa & Stay gift certificate from her dad and heads to Revelation Cove, British Columbia. One caveat: she’s going solo. Any sweethearts will have to be found on site.

Hollie hopes to find her beloved otters in the wilds of the Great White North, but instead she’s providing comic relief for staff and guests alike. Even Concierge Ryan, a former NHL star with bad knees and broken dreams, can’t stop her from stumbling from one (mis)adventure to another. Just when Hollie starts to think that a change of venue doesn’t mean a change in circumstances, the island works its charm and she starts to think she might have found the rejuvenation she so desperately desires. But then an uninvited guest crashes the party, forcing her to step out of the discomfort zone where she dwells and save the day … and maybe even herself in the process.

*I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

Aaaaaaand Rachel Van Dyken has done it again. Please bear with me for this review because I still can’t seem to get my thoughts around it. It was so freakin amazing that I don’t know where to start. Rachel Van Dyken has once again left me speechless, breathless, and utterly defenseless.

More than 5 out of 5 mindblowing stars! I swear. It's THAT good. You wouldn't want to miss this one!

Blurb:
Everyone has a secret...

Gabe Hyde is on borrowed time. He's been hiding his identity for over four years-hidden from the world that used to adore him--obsess over him--driven to the edge of insanity by one poor choice.
But that one choice, altered the course of his life forever.
Pretending isn't all it's cracked up to be, especially when pretending means hiding your real self from the people that care about you the most. But if anyone ever discovered the truth it wouldn't just be his life at risk--but hers.

Saylor doesn't hate men.
Just Gabe.
Only Gabe.
He's a reckless, happy-go-lucky, silver spoon fed pain in her ass. Everything about him makes her more and more confused. Unfortunately they both donate time at the same Group Home. If she wasn't afraid of flunking, she'd be long gone. She hates that she's attracted to him almost as much as he hates that he's attracted to her--and she can tell, especially since their first encounter ended up making her knees so weak she couldn't form coherent sentences for weeks afterwards. But the closer she gets to him, the more confused she becomes. He isn't who he says he is, and he's hiding something big.

What happen when two worlds collide? Two worlds that never should have met in the first place? Some secrets are too big to be hidden forever--the only question? Will his destroy everyone he loves? Or finally bring about the redemption he's been craving for the past four years?

Everyone has a secret...What's yours?

More Than Her and More Than Him (More #2 and #3) by Jay McLean

"For every action there is an equal or opposite reaction."

For every choice you make there are rewards,
or there are consequences.
It was my choice to walk away the first time.
And my choice to chase her the second.
But sometimes you don't get a choice,
and all you get are the consequences.

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength,
while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

Unless that someone is Logan Matthews.
Because loving him didn't give me
the strength to walk away.
It didn't give me
the courage to fight for him.
And when it was over,
all it gave me was a broken heart.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us." - Marianne Williamson

We live in a world of darkness and shadows,
where monsters hide and aim to ruin.
And they did.
They ruined us and turned our dreams into nightmares.
But now we're back.
And we're fighting.
Not just for us, or for each other, but for our light.
I'm going to keep this review short, sweet, and simple. ;)
AAAAAAND, I'm writing it as one post since it's both about Logan and Amanda.

MORE THAN HER: 4.5 out of 5 stars
MORE THAN HIM: 5 out of 5 stars

More Than This (More #1) by Jay McLean

I feel very conflicted about this book. On one hand, I think there’s a lot of promise for the rest of the series. I mean, there’s something really beautiful about the storyline. On the other hand, I can’t get over the insta-love (and not in a good way) and the naïveté of the characters.

I’m giving More Than This 3 out of 5 stars.

Blurb:
*Mikayla*
In one night my fairytale ended. Or it may have begun. This is my story of friendship and love, heartbreak and desire, and the strength to show weakness.

*Jake*
One night I met a girl. A sad and broken girl, but one more beautiful than any other. She laughed through her sadness, while I loved through her heartbreak.

*This is our story of a maybe ever after.*

He was right. It made no difference whether it was 6 months or 6 years.
I couldn’t undo what had been done. I couldn’t change the future.
I couldn’t even predict it.
It was one night.
One night when everything changed.
It was so much more than just the betrayal.
It was the Tragedy.
The Deaths.
The Murders.
But it was also that feeling.
The feeling of falling.

The Story of You and Me by Pamela DuMond

Ebook provided in exchange for an honest review

Pamela DuMond’s The Story of You and Me could have been one of those heart-gripping romances, the kind that drive readers to the brink of a bawling, teary mess. I am a big fan of devastatingly heartbreaking romances and so when I read the blurb for The Story of You and Me, I went into it with expectations of a sobfest in my near future.

Overall, I really liked The Story of You and Me. It just did not move me as much as I thought it would so I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 stars.

Blurb:
Recommended for New Adult and Mature Young Adult Readers:
She's driven to save her life. He's haunted by breaking one. Some secrets are risky to share. But nothing's more powerful than falling in love... Nineteen-year-old Sophie has the kind of hope that makes her do weird things—like leave her family and friends behind in her small hometown and travel thousands of miles to a strange city—Los Angeles. She didn’t plan on getting into the middle of a bar fight on the USCLA campus her first night in town. She didn’t want to be rescued by twenty-one-year-old Alejandro, the hottest guy she’s ever met. She has no time to fall for a guy because her stakes are high—life and death. Sophie’s starting a promising, experimental USCLA Medical study that could heal her debilitating disease. When she ventures on her own to find them, she quickly discovers that L.A.’s a tough city, with bad guys more than happy to take advantage of her. She hires Alejandro to be her driver and her bodyguard. Their journeys take them to sunny beaches, dicey ghettos, campus hang-outs, gang-infested hoods and celebrity parties. And she learns that healing doesn’t always come the way you think you need it. Sophie’s healing is six-foot-two-inches tall, has stunning hazel eyes, black, shiny hair and a rock solid chest that shelters her. Her healing is a smart, gorgeous Alpha Boy with a killer sense of humor—Alejandro. As they fall in love, she realizes Alejandro isn’t your typical college party boy—he has a dangerous past. And Sophie isn’t the only one who keeps secrets. A Story of Hope. A Story of Love. A Story of Redemption. (HEA for Sophie and Alejandro.)

I loved The Perfect Game.
The Game Changer was pretty good, too.
But, The Sweetest Game made me remember why I fell in love with Jack and Cassie in the first place.

4 out of 5 baseball stars for J. Sterling’s THE SWEETEST GAME.

Blurb:
This is the third (and final) installment in Jack & Cassie's story!

“It’s one hell of a sledgehammer to the chest when your baseball career comes to an end. It’s like you finally realize that baseball never loved you back. All the sleepless nights, the hours spent at the gym trying to stay fit, the conditioning, the training, the mental preparation, the holiday’s missed, the birthday’s passed, the memories you didn’t get to make with your family…all for what? It’s not like baseball lost any sleep over you. She didn’t stay awake for nights on end trying to figure out how to make you a better player. She didn’t care. Baseball’s a business. A sport. A game. And as much as my entire life has been wrapped up in it, it’s time to let it go.”

How can anyone expect me to wait for the sequel? They can’t! I need book 2 ASAP. My sanity depends on it. Damn but I absolutely loved this book. Looks like I’ve found another series to obsess over.
